All three use independent struts and discs up front, with non-independent suspensions and drum brakes doing duty at the rear. The Fiat is the only one to use a hydraulically assisted power steering, the SX4 is the heaviest and the Vento uses the narrowest tyres. Of this lot, it?s the Fiat which feels the most solidly built, and that?s surprise when you consider that there?s a VW in this bunch. However, the Vento does not quite feel like it?s been built to Wolfsburg standards and this evident in the hollow sound of the door shut. The SX4 has the typically light Japanese build as well but it feels tougher than cars like the Honda City.
