The Altroz was recently spied testing again
The Altroz premium hatchback is slated to launch here around mid-2019 and the final date should be announced soon. It made its world debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and it is the production-spec version of the 2018 45X concept.
The Geneva model had the Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a power rating of 102PS and 140Nm while mated to a 5-speed manual. Tata is also expected to offer the Altroz with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine as well. An automated-manual transmission is also expected to be on offer for both the Nexon-sourced engines.
As a premium hatchback and as seen at the Geneva debut, the Altroz is likely to get features like an analogue-digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch infotainment system, cruise control and auto climate control with rear AC vents too.
The Tata Altroz is expected to be priced between Rs 5.5 lakh and 8.5 lakh.
Rivals: The Altroz will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno,Toyota Glanza, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo.
