|
German giant Volkswagen's foray into the sub four meter sedan category is the Ameo. The car has been designed and made for India specifically. The car is based on the Polo hatchback. Inspite of that , Volkswagen has managed to make the car as proportionate as possible from the side profile - which is always a sore point for sub-four meter cars.
The car will compete with the Maruti Swift Dzire and Hyundai Xcent. Maruti and Hyundai both are mass market players and it remains to be seen how Volkswagen will match up with these to companies.
