Tyre

Tyres absorb most of the shocks caused by the road irregularities and also grip the road to provide good traction. Here's what the marking on the side of your tyre means. If it reads 145/80 R12, 145 is the tyre width in mm, 80 is the aspect ratio (ratio of height to width in percent and R12 is the rim diameter in inches. Higher the tyre width and aspect ratio, greater the road grip and smoother the ride.
