{"id":30088,"date":"2022-10-13T11:49:26","date_gmt":"2022-10-13T11:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/?post_type=twowheelers&#038;p=30088"},"modified":"2022-10-17T12:30:30","modified_gmt":"2022-10-17T12:30:30","slug":"2023-norton-commando-961-with-classic-looks","status":"publish","type":"twowheelers","link":"http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/twowheelers\/2023-norton-commando-961-with-classic-looks\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Norton Commando 961 with Classic Looks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>2023 Norton Commando 961 with Classic Looks<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Back in June of this year, the company announced that the long-promised Commando 961 was on its way\u2014and now, at long last, it\u2019s finally here.<\/p>\n<p>Style-wise, it does look quite a bit like you\u2019d expect of a Norton Commando in 2022, and it comes in two variants: Sport, and Caf\u00e9 Racer.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-30090 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/2023-Norton-Commando-961-with-Classic-Looks-300x237.jpg\" alt=\"2023 Norton Commando 961 with Classic Looks\" width=\"182\" height=\"144\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/2023-Norton-Commando-961-with-Classic-Looks-300x237.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/2023-Norton-Commando-961-with-Classic-Looks-768x606.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/2023-Norton-Commando-961-with-Classic-Looks-624x492.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.biggaddi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/2023-Norton-Commando-961-with-Classic-Looks.jpg 923w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 182px) 100vw, 182px\" \/>Engine &amp; Power:<\/strong><\/span> It\u2019s powered by a 961cc air and oil-cooled, pushrod parallel twin engine, which makes a claimed 76.8 brake horsepower at 7,250 rpm, alongside 81 newton-meters (59.7 pound-feet) of torque at 6,300 rpm. It\u2019s mated to a five-speed gearbox with a wet clutch.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Brakes &amp; Suspension:<\/strong><\/span> Suspension consists of an 43mm, fully adjustable \u00d6hlins upside down fork up front, along with a pair of fully adjustable \u00d6hlins twin shocks with a remote reservoir in the rear. Braking duties are performed by a twin, radially mounted Brembo four-piston monobloc setup in front, which comes with a pair of 320mm floating rotors and a Brembo front brake master cylinder. In the rear, there\u2019s a single Brembo two-piston caliper and a 240mm disc, also with a Brembo rear brake master cylinder. ABS is standard at both ends.<\/p>\n<p>The new Norton Commando 961 features a frame that is both TIG and MIG welded by hand at Norton\u2019s new headquarters in Solihull, England. The wheelbase is 1,400 mm. Rake is 24.5 degrees, and trail is 99 mm. The yokes are billet-machined aluminum units, and both Commando 961 variants get a full stainless-steel exhaust system with a multiple three-way catalytic converter (so fancy).<\/p>\n<div id='Responsive_Ad_Banner_3' class='widgets_on_page wop_tiny1  wop_small1  wop_medium1  wop_large1  wop_wide1'>\n\t\t\t<ul><!-- ERROR NO TURBO SIDEBAR FOUND WITH ID Responsive Ad Banner 3--><\/ul><\/div><!-- widgets_on_page -->\n<p>Wheels on most bikes will be 17-inch polished aluminum spoked units, which come shod in Dunlop Sportmax GPR 300 rubbers. If you opt for a Commando 961 Sport in the Matrix Black colorway, you can also choose colo(u)r-matched black wheels instead.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Two colorways<\/strong><\/span>: Both the Norton Commando 961 SP and CR are available in two colorways: Matrix Black or Manx Platinum. The Sport comes with black, anodized, tapered, high handlebars, while the Caf\u00e9 Racer comes with anodized billet aluminum clip-ons installed.
