2022 The Kia EV6 is  launched in India today,  just few days after bookings opened on May 26. Eagerly awaited  vehicle with rich features will sit at the top of the Kia India portfolio

With this launch, Kia India is gearing up to make its first fully-electric car in the Indian market, a Super Success . It is worth mentioning that the Kia EV6 will arrive as a CBU import (completely built unit) and only 100 units have been allocated for the Indian market.2022 The Kia EV6 is  launched

The Kia EV6 cannot be considered as one good-looking electric car. It looks stunning !!!!.. especially in its range-topping GT line. Globally, it is offered with two different battery pack options.

2022 Kia EV6 Range, Battery, Charging, Specifications
The India-spec Kia EV6 will get the larger 77.4 kWh battery pack which will be available in single-motor or dual-motor AWD variants. The single motor EV6 will put out 229Ps and 350 Nm while the AWD version will make a combined 325PS and 605 Nm. Moreover, this electric car can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC ultrafast charger and in 73 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger. Kia claims a maximum driving range of up to 528 km on a single charge, depending on the variant.

Kia to set up India’s fastest 150 kW DC chargers at dealerships

Kia India is set to install 150 kW DC fast chargers at some of its dealerships across the country. This comes before the launch of the Kia EV6. These 150 kW units will be the fastest chargers to be set up by a carmaker in India and among the host of other EV charging service providers in the country.

The EV crossover will sit on 235/55 R19 tyres.

2022 Kia EV6 Variants, Features
The Kia EV6 comes in two variants, both carrying the GT Line styling pack. The base FWD variant has features like LED headlamps with adaptive high-beam, LED tail and fog lamps, flush door handles, sunroof, suede interior upholstery with leather bolstering, 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated seats, tilt and telescopic adjust steering, 10-way front powered seats, dual-zone climate control, drive modes, auto wipers, six speakers, massaging seats, 12.3-icnh touchscreen infotainment, 12.3-inch driver’s display, Kia Connect and paddle-operated regen modes. The Kia EV6 AWD further adds an augmented reality HUD, automatic flush door handles, 14-speaker Meridian audio and an active sound mode.

2022 Kia EV6 Safety features :
The Kia EV6 will also be the brand’s first car in India to get a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems. These will include functions like forward collision avoidance, lane-keeping and centring assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear-cross traffic avoidance, safe exit, blind-spot detection, driver attention monitor and adaptive cruise control with stop/go functionality. Other passive safety features will include 8 airbags, ESC, hill-start assist and front-rear parking sensors among other things.

Price & Competition :
The Kia EV6 is  priced in the range of Rs 60 lakh – Rs 70 lakh, ex-showroom. The EV6  competea against cars like the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5. The EV6 will initially be limited to 100 units for India.
