2022 Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo launch on May 9

Skoda India will launch the new  Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo on May 9. The Kushaq Monte Carlo is expected to get more features, as well as come with minor exterior and interior cosmetic updates.

Changes & Features2022 Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo

The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo should follow the theme set by previous Monte Carlo editions of Skoda cars. This should mean a black-themed exterior look with all the chrome embellishments replaced with gloss black. There should be Monte Carlo exterior badging as well as black alloy wheels. The interiors are expected to get a black and red upholstery package with red highlights and being added to the cabin. Aside from the features seen in the Style like wireless charging, ventilated seat, sunroof and so on, the Kushaq should also get the 8-inch digital instrument cluster that debuted in the Slavia.

Engine Options, Specifications

Since the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo should be based on the Style variant, expect to see both the engine options being offered with the new SUV. The Skoda SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol putting out 115PS and 175 Nm or a 1.5-litre turbo that makes 150PS and 250 Nm. The latter also features cylinder deactivation tech and pairs with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT. The smaller engine can be had with a six-speed manual or torque converter.

Expected Prices, Rivals

The Kushaq Monte Carlo should come at a Rs 50,000 to 60,000 premium over the Style variant. Prices for the Skoda Kushaq Style start from Rs 14.89 lakh. Its main competitors are the VW Taigun, MG Astor, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
