We still get the previous edition of Yamaha?s flagship liter bike, not the WSBK title winner. The new R1?s arrival always seems to be in the near future, sort of like the end of the world. But when it does come, expect the fireblade to be very worried. The new R1 comes loaded with MotoGP tech and is said to be an li-line four with the soul of a V-twin. Read that as stonking top end coupled with hugely manageable and substantial low and mid-range grunt. If you want the best Yamaha in the world, we suggest that you wait for it.
