Choosing a winner between the two stalwarts was always going to be difficult.The Passat has moved the game forward with its new common rail engine which simply outclasses the PD engine in the Superb in key areas like performance, refinement and efficiency.
Besides, the Passat retains its strength of solid build quality and vice-free handling . though it's difficult to fault the Passat , it lacks the excitement or sense of occasion of its Czech rival . However, Skoda fits the bill of a luxury car better . Its unconventional looks may not be to everyone's taste but the new Superb makes more of a statement both inside and out. It meets its German rival for both build quality and attention to detail.
But what tilts the competition in Superb's favor is the phenomenally spacious and comfortable rear seat , where owners will spend most of their time.
