Honda launches CB Shine SP [Nov 20, 2015]
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) expanded its CB Shine range with the launch of 125cc bike CB Shine SP, priced up to Rs 64,400 (ex-showroom Delhi), its fifteenth product introduction of the year.
“While India is the world’s fastest growing economy, it is also home to one of world’s youngest populations. These youngsters recognise their special place in society. The new CB Shine SP helps them reflect the same special status and puts them a gear ahead of their peers,” HMSI President and CEO, Keita Muramatsu, said in a statement.
CB Shine SP is an extension of the “new era of motorcycling” the company had ushered in at the Honda RevFest 2015, he added.
Powered by a 125cc 4-stroke engine, CB Shine SP comes with a five-speed gearbox which provides the combination of acceleration and comfort.
It also features one of the longest wheelbase in the segment and a higher ground clearance for practical and comfortable usage on all types of Indian roads.
CB Shine SP is priced at Rs. 59,900 for self-drum-alloy, Rs. 62,400 for self-disc-alloy and Rs. 64,400 for combi-brake system variant (ex-showroom Delhi).
“With over 43 lakh happy customers, the legacy of Shine is undisputed. Though CB Shine enjoys 46 per cent market share, our plan is to further strengthen Honda’s leadership position in 125cc segment,” Y.S. Guleria, Senior VP, Sales & marketing, HMSI said.
