HYUNDAI HAS DROPPED PRICES OF the i20 by roughly Rs 40,000 and refreshed the car across the range while adding two variants to an already comprehensive range. Standard exterior changes include a chrome radiator grille and integrated winkers in the outside mirrors. Inside, the illumination is now blue LEDs, the centre fascia is silver and the door locks are chrome.
The higher trim variants will get an automatic aircon, a USB port, and steering audio controls. Including the new base Era variant and the Sportsz, i20 prices span Rs 4.51 lakh to Rs 6.18 lakh ex-Delhi.
Economy up – The new six-speed ‘box in the i20 diesel and a gearshift indicator has helped the i20 diesel (BSIV) post 21.93kmpl at ARAI tests. The 1.2 Kappa and 1.4 Gamma returned 18.15 and 15.04kmpl, both roughly 1kmpl better than earlier figures.
